Since 2014, the competition pattern of the domestic cobalt enterprise has changed dramatically, and a number of enterprises has been improved through the operation of the capital market. Because of funding problems, some cobalt smelting enterprises were forced out. Cobalt industry in China is facing a profound adjustment. Domestic enterprises’ overseas investment in the development of cobalt resources has achieved initial success, and our country in cobalt output will continue to increase. With the increase of new energy vehicles in national investment, power battery market is still the largest hot market of cobalt, but materials research and development progress of traditional battery cathode material also facing challenges. In addition as the development of aviation industry continuing to drive the increasement of high temperature alloy output , the consumption of cobalt is still optimistic.

Under this background, Chinese International Nickel Cobalt Industry Forum was held in The Yellow Dragon Hotel on November 8, 2015. The meeting was hosted by Chinese Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, Beijing Antaike Information Development Co. and Cobalt Industry Branch of Chinese Nonferrous Metals Industry Association Industry. EASPRING’s director & general manager Li Jianzhong attended the meeting as president of Cobalt Industry Branch of China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association. Under the organization of the Secretariat, Mr. Li leaded the members of the Cobalt Industry Branch Council to make an primary negotiation and discussion with the general manager Mr.David Weight of CDI (Cobalt Development Institute) regarding to strengthen exchanges and cooperations between China and foreign Cobalt Association. The two parties deepened the mutual understanding after the friendly consultation, which laid a solid foundation for the future establishment of close cooperations relationship.

Since the China International Nickel and Cobalt Industry Annual Conference’s inception in 1999, there has been many domestic and foreign outstanding enterprises’ energetic supports and industry talents’ active participations. The annual conference has become an annual pageant for nickel and cobalt industry talents to explore the development trend of the industry and to seek cooperation opportunities. Some hot topics relating to the global macroeconomic situation, nickel and cobalt supply, consumption and trade etc. were discussed in the meeting.
